Symptom: I have a problem with electrical windows not working on A4 avant 2003 year (front doors electrical only). So far I checked wiring on doors (ok), motor works (for windows movement), switch for up &down works (it is ok), no DTC on VAG diagnostic scanner, fuses checked &ok.
I have changed and recoded a replacement steering control module but thats not sorted it. Some suggest ignition switch but a sympton I read would be radio staying on after removing key from ignition, but theres no problem with this. So nothing works from the stalks, nor the horn.
The front driver side window started going up and down, getting stuck, and not responding. It turned out that the window regulator was broken and needed to be replaced. NOW - the front passenger side window is doing the same thing.
